A MUCH-CHANGED Accrington Stanley side slipped to defeat at promotion-chasing Cheltenham Town in League Two this afternoon.

Stanley boss Paul Cook made six changes to the team that beat Hereford on Monday as he looked to assess a number of players before making decisions over contracts for next season.

Liam Willis, Kurtis Guthrie, Bryan Hughes, Will Hatfield and loan duo Lee Nicholls and Micah Evans all came into the side but Stanley fell behind when Keith Lowe netted in the 12th minute.

Ben Burgess headed Cheltenham’s second goal in the 56th minute and Marlon Pack’s free kick made it 3-0 six minutes later.

Bobby Grant pulled a goal back from close range in the 76th minute but Kaid Mohamed made it 4-1 in injury time.
