Football: Blackburn Eagles soar to win league title

Blackburn Eagles U13s
BLACKBURN Eagles U13s have clinched the league title without losing a single game.
The newly crowned champions won the East Lancashire Football Alliance Yellow Division, winning 13 of their 16 league matches and drawing three.
The Eagles scored 94 goals and conceded just 12 with top scorer Kyle Marshall Marsden netting 40 of them.
The team will now be promoted to the top Red Division for next season.
“I am delighted for the lads,” said manager Andy Goulden, who runs the team with Gareth Smith. “To go through the whole season without losing is a great achievement for them.”
The winning Blackburn Eagles team was captained by Sam Smith and also included: Lewis Higgins, Pat Gallagher, Josh Murphy, Lewis Aspden, Rob Starkie, Tom Yates, Kyle Haslam, Levi Longworth, Jack Goulden, Jacob Smith, Mark Earnshaw, Nick Haworth, Kyle Marshall Marsden, Dylan Hart, Ryan Walmersly.
