Altrincham Kersal: 10 Rossendale: 57
ROSSENDALE all but confirmed their play-off place with an emphatic nine try, bonus point win at Altrincham.
It was Dale’s second consecutive 40-point plus victory and showed they are bang in form for the expected end of season showdown with the Midlands League runners-up – which seems likely to be against Dudley Kingswinford.
On this form, Dale won’t fear anyone has Steve Nutt, Jamie Albinson and Wynand Van Zyle each scored two tries apiece with further touchdowns for Paul Keys, Johan Goosen and Will Sharratt.
Nutt also slotted over six conversions.
It was Keys who got the ball rolling for Dale with a try in the third minute and they didn’t look back.
Nutt charged down a kick to score under the post and victory was assured when Albinson crossed for a quick for double. Dale play Beverley and Waterloo in their last two games.
