BURNLEY manager Eddie Howe insists the Turf Moor door will remain open to the trio of players he allowed to leave on loan before yesterday’s deadline.

As expected, Zavon Hines joined up with AFC Bournemouth, while deals were also done for winger Keith Treacy, to Sheffield Wednesday, and defender Andre Amougou, to Bristol City.

Cameroon international Amougou is out of contract in the summer and is expected to move on at the end of his three-year deal.

Treacy and Hines joined the Clarets in the summer, but have barely featured this calendar year.

Indeed, Hines has not started a league game since signing from tomorrow's opponents West Ham United in August, but Howe said: “Those players still have a future here. I wouldn’t shut the door on anyone.

“Zavon hasn’t had a lot of football so I think it will do him the world of good, and Keith is similar.

“Andre hasn't been involved in a long time so it's only fair that these lads go and play and get games.

“It's up to them to prove themselves away from here.

“It will be a good challenge for the players to play for their respective teams and do well in the divisions they are in.

“The door's never closed on anybody. It's an opportunity for them to show what they can do.”

Amougou, who signed from Reading in August 2009 following promotion to the Premier League, joined Championship rivals Bristol City on an emergency loan deal, which will run until April 21.

Republic of Ireland international Treacy will remain with League One Wednesday until the end of the season.

The former Blackburn Rovers winger, who joined the Clarets on a three-year deal from Preston North End in July 2011, has made 27 appearances so far this season, scoring two goals including an opening day equaliser against Watford at Turf Moor.

However, the 23-year-old has made only five appearances since January.

Striker Hines joined Howe's former club Bournemouth in an emergency loan deal until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has started two games in the Carling Cup, playing a third as substitute, to add to his 13 appearances from the bench in the Championship.
