JUSTINE Wallace scored a impressive hat-trick as Padiham recovered from the worse possibly start in their top-of-the-table clash.

Morecambe came boasting a record of 10 straight victories andgot off to a flying start after scoring after just 42 seconds. But despite the early setback, Padiham roared back and levelled when Wallace who turned and fired home from the edge of the area.

The home side continued to deal with any pressure the visitors put them under until a defensive lapse allowed the lively Morecambe centre forward to get in between Padiham’s centre halves and fire home on 39 minutes.

And worse was to come as right on the stroke of half time when More-cambe added a third goal.

But after the break it was all Padiham and their pressure was rewarded with another superb strike from Wallace three minutes into the half.

The Ladies continued to pile on the pressure but couldn’t break the Morecambe defence down but 15 minutes from time, Wallace rose to head home from a corner to complete her hat-trick.

Both sides created chances but the draw stretches Padiham’s unbeaten run to 26 league games and leaves them in second place behind Morecambe but with two games in hand.
