CLITHEROE boss Carl Garner has signed three players as he looks to steer his side to a strong finish to the Evo-Stik League First Division North campaign.
Garner has snapped up AFC Fylde striker Ben Waddington, who scored 20 goals last term for AFC Blackpool, Barnoldswick’s Connor Smith and the manager has also persuaded Jason Jones to return to Shawbridge for a third spell.
A tough season of transition has seen the Blues struggle to find any sort of consistency but Garner is hoping the acquisition of the trio will provide the boost he needs.
“I am 100 per cent focused and working harder than ever,” said Garner. “It’s non-stop. We have had to have a clear-out and change things around.
“We only have four players left from last April but we have had to do that. We are trying to settle things down with a group of about 18 lads.
“I can’t persevere with players who are not interested or not good enough - or sometimes both.”
