STEVE Kean has revealed that Chris Samba will be unavailable for Saturday's visit of QPR to Ewood Park after picking up a hamstring injury earlier this week.
The wantaway Rovers defender was due to play in a reserve game against Carlisle two days ago but pulled out due to the niggle.
Jason Lowe has been declared "touch and go" by Kean to take on QPR after struggling with an ankle injury.
Gael Givet begins his three-game ban on Saturday, but striker Yakubu returns to face the Hoops after completing a similar suspension.
