DAVID Dunn insists Chris Samba will be welcomed back into the Blackburn Rovers dressing room after backing the want-away defender to continue giving his all for the club.
Rovers’ skipper handed in a transfer request last month, having strongly expressed his desire to quit Ewood, but with the transfer window shut and Samba still in East Lancashire, Dunn is confident Samba can play a key role in keeping them in the Premier League.
Kean will make a decision on Samba’s involvement in tonight’s visit of Newcastle this morning but Dunn believes he will be an important player and said: “As a club without question we are better as a team when Chris Samba is playing.
“The club feels he can still play a big part. I understand as a player you get an opportunity to move on in your career and maybe fulfil your ambition.”
