Blackburn Rovers’ deputy chief executive Paul Hunt has assured supporters the club are not borrowing against future revenue as he attempted to ease fears about the future.

In response to the Lancashire Telegraph’s open letter sent to owners Venky’s on November 24, and countless concerns raised by supporters, Hunt has addressed a number of key issues in a bid to improve communication between the Ewood Park faithful and the club.

Growing rumours have been circulating about Rovers’ mortgage facility with Barclays Bank but, in an exclusive interview with the Lancashire Telegraph, Hunt has insisted there is nothing unconventional about their lending arrangements.

He has also said: * Jerome Anderson does not have an active role at the club after playing a part in the January transfer window.

* Manager Steve Kean has the final say on all transfers and that discussions are already ongoing about potential January signings and departures.

* Venky’s remain committed to building a successful and sustainable football club but admit it was impossible to have delivered at every level inside the first 12 months.

* The club will continue to work with the protestors to try to bring the protests to an end as they look for a united front.

* Rovers’ new senior executive team have a vast amount of experience but they would not rule out future appointments if they saw the need to do so.

Some fans will be disappointed that some issues, raised by both the Lancashire Telegraph and supporters, remain unanswered.

This though is the club’s first significant attempt to ease the growing confusion surrounding Ewood Park, amid a frenzy of speculation over the past few months.

Hunt has recognised the need for the club to communicate with supporters on a more regular basis and stated his desire to do just that in the future.

Blackburn Rovers fans have been frustrated by the silence coming from Rovers ever since seeing their club bought by Indian poultry giants Venky’s a little nmore than a year ago.

Venky’s and Rovers have been plagued by constant rumours, criticism and speculation, due in no small part to the owners inexperience and inability to communicate with supporters.

Rovers visit Sunderland on Sunday still sitting in the Premier League relegation zone, with manager Steve Kean under heavy fire from sections of supporters.

But, as they strive to improve all aspects of the football club , Hunt has assured supporters everyone is working to deliver success.
