COLNE eased their way into the next round of the Carlsberg FA Vase with a comfortable win against North East Counties League outfit Maltby Main.
The home side couldn't have wished for a better start when, after just three minutes, Kieran Roberts met Steve Cunningham's corner to head the home side into the lead, and just three minutes later another Cunningham corner was met by the head of skipper Scott Gizon to make it 2 - 0.
Then, against the run of play, Maltby pulled one back on 17 minutes when Hobson found himself unmarked at the back post and headed in off the bar.
Colne were gifted a goal when the Maltby keeper miskicked and Cunningham was on hand to tap the ball home.
Further chances were squandered from James Blackburn and Anthony Murt before Murt sealed the result from another excellent Cunningham corner.
Colne now travel to Doncaster to meet another North East Counties side, Worsbrough Bridge, in the next stage.
