BATTLE: Darwen's Leigh Smith fights the cause against Curzon Ashton on Saturday
DARWEN crashed out of the FA Vase at the second prelimary stage after conceding three goals in the opening half-hour.
The visitors stunned Darwen when Moores opening the scoring after just three minutes.
And then a double by Garvey on 19 and 31 minutes left the home team with an uphill struggle.
Almond grabbed a goal back just before the break but it was not enough.
