WOLVES boss Mick McCarthy was delighted the way his team took charge of the game at Ewood Park in the 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers.

He said: “The game was end to end. Once we scored in the second half I felt we controlled the game.

“That's something we've been working on.

“I am sure Steve will be bemoaning his luck at Samba’s injury and losing Phil Jones.

“We made the most of it. Doyle and Fletcher are both good players.

“They were great today and caused the two centre backs real problems."

He added: “This is our third year in the Premier League and the players we have added have given something to the team, and the ones who have been here two years have got better.”
