Eddie Howe was pleased with the quality of Burnley's goals against Burton Albion last night but rued the extra half-hour his players were forced to play in 6-3 aggregate win.
“We wanted it done in 90 minutes for sure and at 3-1 I thought we were home and dry,” said the Clarets boss.
“But we made it interesting even if we do make it difficult for ourselves.
“Thankfully in extra time we stepped it up another gear and saw the game out comfortably.
“But we have to learn from our defensive mistakes.
“There are two sides to it, from the attacking front I thought we were looked good so I was pleased with that.
“The quality of some of the goals we scored was really pleasing, but we had to play an extra half-hour which wasn’t ideal and something we didn’t really want.”
