ACCRINGTON Stanley are level at half time in tonight's Carling Cup first round tie at home to Scunthorpe United.
Kurtis Guthrie was denied by Josh Lillis when clear through inside 20 seconds and Craig Lindfield also saw a shot saved, although Andy Barcham headed over from eight yards for Scunthorpe.
Barcham was on as a substitute after former Stanley midfielder Jimmy Ryan was forced to limp off following a challenge from Dean Winnard.
