DAVID Goodwillie scored a debut goal as Blackburn Rovers beat Kilmarnock 4-1 in this afternoon's pre-season friendly.

Rovers' new signing from Dundee United came off the substitutes bench in the second half to complete the scoring after Rovers had taken a 3-1 half time lead.

Gary Harkins fired the hosts ahead, via a Grant Hanley deflection, on 15 minutes but parity was restored seconds later when David Dunn equalised from the penalty spot.

Roberts then made it 2-1 a minute later, after a poor clearance from goalkeeper Kyle Letheren hit David Dunn, and Roberts scored his second on 34 from the penalty sport after being dragged down himself.

Rovers were fortunate not to concede a couple of goals towards the end of the half as KIlmarnock opened them up all too easily.

Rovers struggled to find their game after the break as the hosts dominated but Goodwillie calmly converted with little more than 15 minutes remaining as he latched on to a Mauro Formica flick on.
