MEMBERS of Blackburn Pony Club had a Magic weekend at a recent eventing competition.
The Pony Club Area Four event was held at Funkirk Farm, Skipton and the Blackburn riders certainly had some fun.
Beth Lord, riding Practical Magic won the mixed team event with Tara Adams and Yasmin Ingham – who are both members of the Isle of Man Pony Club.
In the Area Novice individual competition, Emily Latham Taylor, riding Adette R, came second in her class and qualified for the National Championships in August.
Emily had the best score for the dressage phase in her arena, went clear in the cross country and picked up just four faults in the show jumping.
And Jess Core won the non-area class with a brilliant display in the dressage and cross country.
Her score and clear round meant that despite eight faults in the show jumping, Jess still went on to win.
Other riders to take part were Jenny Allman and Kirby Todd.
