Brogan Townend fell short in her bid to defend her Pleasington Putter crown at the weekend, though she proved East Lancashire’s top performer at the presitigious event.
The title went to Katherine O’Connor of Tadmarton Heath GC, in Oxfordshire, with rounds of 74 and 71.
She was one shot clear of Ami Storey of Ponteland.
Pleasington’s Townend, based in Mellor, was a further three shots back.
Her club-mates Nikki Foster (10th) and Catherine Roberts (13th) were not far behind.
