FAST bowler Sid Patel has left East Lancashire and joined Liverpool Competition First Division outfit Orrell Red Triangle.
The 25-year-old made his debut on Saturday – and made a big impact in a dramatic win at Prestatyn.
He claimed 1-38 from eight overs before damaging a finger, but was a hero with the bat after going in at number 11.
He made 14 not out in a last-wicket stand of 31 as Orrell squeezed home by one wicket, knocking off 172 in a tense finish.
Patel left Alexandra Meadows after losing his place in the first team this season.
