ANDREW Taylor claimed six wickets as Hoghton moved up to third place in the Palace Shield First Division thanks to a big win at White Coppice.
Taylor reeled in 6-27 and Rob Bolton claimed 4-12 as White Coppice were skittled for just 60 as they chased Hoghton’s 147-6.
Phil Hurst had led the way for Hoghton with 70, including four fours and five sixes, as his side boosted their total.
There was disappointment for Hoghton on Sunday as they were beaten in the Meyler Cup at Thornton Cleveleys. A solid batting show took the locals to 178 with Darren Eccles (38) and Chris Brown (37) leading the way but Thornton won by three wickets.
Ribchester are playing back at Blackburn Northern’s Pleckgate Road – and they beat Freckleton in Division Four.
Maneeb Alam claimed five wickets as Freckleton were 131 all out before he made 64 not out as Ribchester got home by one wicket.
