WE might be four games unbeaten in league and cup, but I think we're definitely four points down for the season.

As far as I'm concerned, we should be on nine points, which would put us in touch with the teams in the play-off places.

We played poorly against Chester and certainly for an hour after Darlington scored we were also poor, but while results have improved since then, the games themselves have been a bit disappointing.

The last two draws should have been wins because we definitely should have beaten Rochdale and Stockport.

Five points from five games isn't great for us. It hasn't been a bad start but I think we've underachieved.

It's probably been a bit of a learning curve for the lads and they're still finding their feet.

We've been losing goals at set pieces and that's very disappointing. It's something we highlighted before the start of the season, that it was a big, strong, physical league and a lot of games are decided on set pieces.

We tried to work on that but against Chester it backfired and it came back to the fore again on Saturday against Rochdale.

But we're aware of and we're trying to rectify it.

As for bringing in new faces before the transfer window closes tonight, our main priority is a forward, and of course getting goalkeeper Rob Elliot back from injury.

It is getting easier to attract players because we've obviously had a lot of publicity since getting back in the league and we're quite a big name.

But the down side to that is teams want to beat us that bit more because we've been in the limelight.

After our second or third game of the season I was speaking to a couple of guys from Sky and I asked them when they were going to leave us alone.

The attention has all been about Stanley first game back in the league.

There's been a lot more hype about these games and something like that would gee me up if I was an opposition manager.

It's not that I want the attention to die down, I just want it to be focused more on us winning games and not for what happened 44 years ago.
