WESTHOLME have had another successful year in the field of sport.
The school clinched hockey and netball titles while two athletes got to represent Lancashire in the English Schools Cross Country Championships.
Beckie Taylor was first Lancashire girl and 24th overall in the senior girls race at the English finals held at Witton Park.
In the intermediate race, Katie Buckley was 57th and part of a county team that was fourth.
Westholme’s year seven hockey team clinched the double after they were crowned league champions and then winning a four team tournament which was held at Westholme.
And the Blackburn school’s year eight and 11 netball teams won their respective tournaments.
The year eight team won all seven games at Witton Park to win while the year 11 teams amassed 67 goals on their way to glory.
