Blackburn Rovers defender Andy Todd was set to have showdown talks with Hughes today about the decision to axe him for Sunday's game against Chelsea.
Todd was reported to be furious after Hughes dropped him in favour of recent signing Andre Ooijer.
The 31-year-old's future at the club may now hinge on the outcome of today's meeting.
