COLNE came out on top in a thrilling derby encounter last night at Victoria Park.
The visitors took the lead on 37 minutes when Anthony Murt fired low past keeper Bobby Harris.
Nelson equalised just three minutes later when Paul Barrett worked in Robbie Smith, and he drilled his shot in at the near post.
Colne had the chance to re-take the lead when the referee awarded a penalty, but Murt couldn't grab his second from the spot after Harris saved well.
Craig Bradshaw rasped a great effort just wide from the right edge of the area for Nelson, and Peter Corvino had a deflected shot saved.
But Colne grabbed the winner 12 minutes from time to take all three points.
