THE super Saints will be representing Burnley in the Lancashire Youth Games netball finals.
St Joseph’s were crowned overall Burnley winners – and took the small school crown – while St Augustine’s qualify as the best large school in the High 5 compet-ition.
The county finals take place at Blackpool Sports Centre on Friday, May 20.
More than 140 pupils from 14 primary schools from across the borough took part in the district final which was held at Sir John Thursby College.
Schools that took part were St Stephen’s, Wellfield, St Augustines, St Leonards, Christ the King, Heasandford, St Mary’s, Rosewood, St Mary Magdalene’s, Stoneyholme, St Peters, St Joseph’s, Worsthorne and Lowerhouse.
St Joseph’s showed their skills in the short format campaign to take the overall title.
St Augustine’s were runners-up but the large school winners.
Heasandford finished in third place.
In the Plate competition, St St Stephen’s were first, Wellfield second while St Mary’s were third.
