A SECOND-half collapse has surely now ended all hope of Burnley reaching the Championship play-offs this season.

The Clarets made a bright start to the second half after going into the break a goal down through Diomansy Kamara's first goal for Leicester City midway through the first half.

But when Andre Bikey fouled the on-loan Fulham striker inside the box, there was no way back once Paul Gallagher doubled the home side's lead from the penalty spot in the 52nd minute.

Gallagher scored again, from open play this time, as his speculative shot from distance got the better of Brian Jensen on his return to the starting line-up.

Patrick Van Aanholt completed a rout in which Leicester goalkeeper Chris Weale was largely redundant in the 81st.

The scoreline could have been even more damaging had it not been for Jensen denying Gallagher a hat-trick and substitute Bruno Berner hitting the crossbar.
