Colne head on a Mersey mission tomorrow as they aim to follow up their midweek Vodkat League Premier Division exploits at Formby.
Nigel Coates’ men were in sensational form on Tuesday night as they crushed St Helens Town 8-4 in one of the most remarkable games of the season. Colne were 6-0 up at the break before wrapping up the points after the interval.
Hotshots Mark Threlfall and Danny Boyle both bagged hat-tricks with Joe Garvin and Andy Tinker scoring the others – and they will be shining their shooting boots again ahead of the game against lowly Formby, who are lurking just above the drop zone.
