East Lancashire golfer Jon, 14, hits hole in one
TEENAGER Jon Kadic stunned onlookers at Accrington Golf Club by landing a hole-in-one – despite playing the course for just over a month.
Kadic, 14, a student at Witton Park High School, achieved the ace at Accrington’s 165-yard par three fourth hole, in the club’s first junior competition of the 2011 season.
The Blackburn-based youngster took up membership at the Devon Avenue club earlier this year, along with brother Dominic, and his father, who is also called Dominic.
He practices every day after school and is now hoping to improve on his handicap of 15.
“It’s fantastic for Jon,” said his mother Karen. “He’s not been playing at Accrington that long but he really enjoys the course. He’s kept the hole-in-one golf ball.”
