CHRIS McCann came through an encouraging first hour as Burnley reignited their reserves' title charge.

The Clarets returned to the top of the totesport.com Central League West Division after coming from a goal behind against Morecambe Reserves to win 3-1.

Wes Fletcher equalised from the penalty spot after Michael King was fouled just inside the area, while McCann's replacement, Joe Jackson, scored the winner less than four minutes after coming off the bench.

All the goals came in the second half, and Morecambe's came out of the blue for Brian Jensen, playing his first game since October, but there was little the Dane could do to stop Dan Parkinson converting Chris Wraighte's cross from close range.

Fletcher tucked away his spot kick well to get back on level terms in the 56th minute, before Jackson buried the rebound from Dominic Knowles' saved solo effort.

Joe McKee, who had been unlucky not to score in a first half that Burnley dominated, completed the scoring by finding the bottom corner with a free kick in stoppage time.

Leaders Preston North End and second placed Wrexham play their reserve games tomorrow (Wednesday).
