The Vodkat League was hit by freezing temperatures with Ramsbottom's trip to Alsager and Barnoldswick Town's home clash with Atherton LR being called off.
However, a planned tribute and ceremony to former Barlick chairman Alverley Ashworth went ahead as planned as Town paid their respects to a man who did so much to take the club to its current level.
Colne game at Flixton and Rossendale United's Dark Lane clash with Maine Road were also off after the grounds failed pitch inspections.
And it was a similar story for Padiham, whose Arbories clash with Formby was a casualty — but the Merseysiders were unlikely to be too upset at an unscheduled Saturday off.
Their manager, Gary Martindale, assistant and entire first team squad walked out of the Altcar club this week leaving Formby – third from bottom of the Premier Division – staring relegation in the face with only their youth team to call upon.
In the Vodkat League First Division, AFC Darwen's game at Wigan Robin Park was also off.
Bacup Borough did play, but were beaten 2-0 at Runcorn Linnets.
