BURNLEY goalkeeper Brian Jensen has told manager Brian Laws he wants to quit the club, after losing his place to summer signing Lee Grant.
The Clarets' longest-serving current player started the season after signing a new two-year contract, but lost his place to former Sheffield Wednesday stopper Grant after a 4-0 home defeat to Reading in October.
A club statement read: "Burnley Football Club can confirm that long-serving goalkeeper Brian Jensen, 35, has submitted a written transfer request due to a recent lack of first team opportunities.
"The first team management at Burnley Football Club will now consider this request."
