EDGWORTH Eagles ‘B’ have long been the strongest team in the Darwen Bowls League having propped up the lowest division for the last three years!
However, non-playing captain David Innes is amazed that his young side keep on coming back for more.
But the Eagles, mainly made up of 11-year-olds, are about to soar says Innes.
“In those three years we only won two games and I am amazed they kept on coming back for more.
“But older players in others teams have given them a great deal of encouragement and it is good to see a healthy stock of young players coming through.”
