ACCRINGTON skipper David Ormerod says his men will give their all tonight as they shoot for the semi-finals of the Twenty20 competition.

The Thorneyholme Road outfit have enjoyed a big change in fortunes this season in the short form and will make it out of Group A as champions if they win at Rishton and Church go down at home to Enfield.

Their run of two wins from three is remarkable given the fact Accrington, the league champions for the past two seasons, had not won a short form game for four seasons.

“We have the players who can play T20,” said Ormerod.

“Obviously it is a big bonus for us that we have Graham Lloyd available and there are other lads in the team who can hit well.

“Hopefully they will come off at Rishton – and hopefully we can get through. We will certainly give it our best.”

Church, meanwhile, are in the box seat to make it through and they face an Enfield side, who have not won a T20 game this year.

Pro Luke Woodcock leads the side in the absence of skipper Andrew Bentley.

It would take a dramatic outcome to put Nelson out of the competition.

Colin Pemberton’s unbeaten men entertain Lowerhouse and are three points clear in Group C.

The only way Nelson would miss out on a semi-final is if they lost and their run rate crashed.

Burnley and Colne meet in the group’s other game with Colne eager to avoid the wooden spoon.

Edenfield can make it into the last four with a win at Group B’s bottom side Bacup – but they, or the losers of the Haslingden v Ramsbottom clash seem well set to claim the best runner’s up spot.
