LEUIS Laviscount will have ‘home’ advantage after reaching the final of the Harold Ryden Trophy at Wilpshire Golf Club.
The Wilpshire youngster beat Chris Nuttall of Accrington 2&1 to seal his place in this evening’s showdown with Dan Nutter.
Nutter, a member of Barrowford Golf Club, won through in an equally close match, beating Clive Robertson of Green Haworth by the same 2&1 scoreline.
While it is Laviscount’s first appearance in the final of the prestigious ELGA competition, Nutter will be looking to make it fourth time lucky having finished runner-up in three consecutive years between 2004-06.
The Harold Ryden Trophy final tees off at 5.30pm.
