ACCRINGTON Stanley have given Michael Symes a deadline to inform them whether he will sign a new deal at the club – but fellow striker Billy Kee says he will not rush into a decision over his future.
Stanley face the prospect of losing all three of their impressive front line after Bobby Grant joined Scunthorpe this week.
Symes is stalling on a new deal with the Reds, telling the 26-year-old and the rest of their out-of-contract players that they need an answer by the end of next week.
Kee, who was on loan at Stanley but has now been released by Leicester, has been offered a contract at the Crown Ground but is interesting several clubs and has held productive talks with Torquay.
“I’ve had a few offers and I will consider Accrington, but I do need to be a regular and the training facilities may be a factor,” he said.
