EAST Lancashire have solved their professional crisis after capturing Australian pace bowler Nathan Rimmington on a short-term contract until July.
The 27-year-old will arrive at Alexandra Meadows next Thursday and will stay with the Blackburn club until professional Brendan Nash returns from West Indies duties.
Rimmington, who opens the bowling for Queensland, is rated as one of the best one-day bowlers in Australia and is closing in on selection for the Australian A team.
"We are delighted to have Nathan signed up," said East Lancs' skipper Mark Bolton.
"It was a big blow to lose Brendan at short notice but we have a more than capable replacement and solves the problem of having to find sub-pros each week."
