STUART Deeley and Alistair Dodd ran out winners of the Lee Holland Memorial Stages Rally, organised jointly by Pendle DMC and Garstang and Preston MC.
Their Banks Lotus Europa finished eight stages at the Anglesey circuit, 23 seconds clear of runners-up Bertie Morton and Craig Parry's Ford Escort Mk2.
Third place went to Mark Jones and Christopher Brierley (BMW Coupe) a further 41 seconds adrift.
Class wins went to Cliff Evans/Dave Davies (Escort), Dyfed Pritchard/Tecwyn Jones (Vauxhall Nova), Paul Stringer/Tim Payton (Micra) and Joe Taylor/Dafydd Gwynedd (Micra) “It was a good day’s rallying, and we’ve had a lot of positive comments, which makes it all worthwhile,” said Rod Brereton of Pendle DMC. “We would like to thank everyone involved in making the Lee Holland such a success, especially our sponsors, A Frame Engineering, Elite Racing Transmissions and GOS Heating.”
