Stockport City chief executive Kevan Taylor has dismissed speculative newspaper reports linking star striker Liam Dickinson with a possible move to Burnley or Stoke.

The 20-year-old joined from Unibond side Woodley Sports at the end of last year and has scored five goals in just four starts for County.

"We haven't had any enquiries and I've heard nothing from Burnley or Stoke so it's just rumours," said Taylor.

"We want Liam to sign a new contract to stay here for the next two seasons."
