TWO down, perhaps ...maybe... only another five to go.

All the talk is that's how many more wins we'll need to secure the title. But we're not taking anything for granted.

Nothing is won yet, and Hereford will do everything to have a say in what happens.

All we know is that the wins over Gravesend and Morecambe have been a massive fillip to the side as we head towards the run-in.

The maximum number of points we can achieve is 106 a Conference record.

And while it would be fantastic to do that, I think we are realistically looking at a total more around the 90-point mark.

Hereford can only get 93 if they win all of their remaining games.

But we can't look too far ahead.

Our home game against Burton Albion on Saturday is what we must focus on now, and that is sure to be a tough game.

They are a very good side, and unlike a lot of teams who have had good cup runs then fallen away, they have got a sniff of getting in the play-offs now and, while they are struggling with their consistency, obviously they can perform at a high level.

But our lads are playing really well. Not spectacularly but we are grinding results out, and there are a couple of extra factors that have stood us in good stead.

For starters, we have still scored in every single game we've played this season, and that's a statistic we intend to maintain.

But also, it came to my attention when we played Exeter away that we haven't conceded in the first 15 minutes of any game either.

That is still the case now, and hopefully will be to the end of the season because the lads have set that standard.

Phil Edwards is likely to be back in defence on Saturday after serving his suspension, but Andy Todd will miss the chance to face the side he is on loan from because of a clause in his contract.

It's a blow, really, because after taking one or two games to get into it, he played really well at Gravesend on Friday and I thought he had a very good game again on Monday night.

He is certainly warming to what we are about and what we're trying to do, so it's a shame he'll have to miss out.

But we've got David Brown and new signing Mark Boyd waiting in the wings, so it opens the door for someone else.

What we'll certainly be hoping for on Saturday is a crowd as big and as vocal as Monday night.

It was a fantastic atmosphere and great for the lads to play in front of crowds like that because it's what they deserve.
