ALGERIAN midfielder Amine Linganzi has become Blackburn Rovers’ second signing of the January transfer window – with boss Sam Allardyce hoping to have unearthed ‘another Steven Nzonzi’.

The 20-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half year deal for a free transfer from St Etienne, but Rovers are not expecting the powerful midfielder to make much of an impact until next season.

Linganzi though has the same agent as Rovers’ revelation Nzonzi, who has made a surprisingly dramatic impact since arriving at Ewood Park for just £400,000 in the summer, with Rovers having similar high hopes for Linganzi.
