STEVEN Reid insists Blackburn Rovers are fighting together to turn around their Premier League fortunes – after rubbishing rumours of unrest around Ewood Park.

The Rovers midfielder played his part to help Rovers see off Fulham 2-0 at Ewood Park and move up to 12th in the Premier League, insisting the club is still united.

Stories of player unrest and Allardyce’s position as manager being in jeopardy heaped further pressure on yesterday's clash, but Reid believes the display will answer a few of the critics.

He said: “You have to ignore that stuff. We are fully behind the manager, look at the job he has done since he came in.

“We were in a pretty bad way when he was appointed and he came in, turned us round, got us safe.

“We have had an up or down season so far but that can all change in the space of the week.

"We could be at Wembley and in the top half of the Premier League.

“It can all change quickly and hopefully it will do.

"The manager has been drilling it into us it is a massive month and if we don’t put things right we will be near the bottom of the league.

“But a couple of results in the league and a win on Wednesday and things look much better.

“We haven’t been happy about the last 10 games and not getting the results.

"But the lads showed we do care and are fighting together to get out of the position we are in.”
