RAMSBOTTOM United hope to have up to four new faces in their line-up for tomorrow’s home game against Formby as they bid to recover from a four-point deduction.
Rammy felt they were harshly treated last week when they were docked four points and fined £100 after fielding midfielder Martin Walters, who had not been registered with the Vodkat League because a club official had forgotten to post the form.
Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Squires Gate has now left them 14th in the Vodkat Premier Division but they have already signed attacking midifelders Stuart Telfer and Simon Gallanders - from Runcorn Linnets and Ashton Athletic respectively - ahead of the clash with struggling Formby. Chris Jones and Steve Maden are also expected to return from injury.
Manager Andy Feeley said: “I’m hopeful we will have three or four players in for Saturday.
“We needed to freshen things up because it had gone a bit stale and I’ve been a bit disappointed with people’s reactions when we’ve gone a goal down to tell the truth.
“We need three points from every game we play now because of the four-point deduction. We’ll just get our heads down and stick together.”
