PAUL Ince will not be making an offer for Ecuadorian midfielder Segundo Castillo.

The Blackburn Rovers manager made his decision after running the rule over the South American at the club’s pre-season trip in Germany.

Invited for a trial at the club’s Bavarian base, the Red Star Belgrade man, valued in the region of £6million, was given an opportunity to prove his credentials.

But Ince has decided against tabling an offer for the 26-year-old and will now turn his attentions elsewhere.

“At this moment in time, we won’t be making an offer for Castillo,” said Rovers chairman John Williams.

“The player has returned to Red Star Belgrade.”
