Here's The Lancashire Telegraph's best guess on how Rovers might line-up against Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship.

Goalkeeper

Aynsley Pears will be between the sticks for Rovers. He produced a man-of-the-match performance at Leeds United last time out.

Defence

There is little logic in Eustace changing shape after the success they had at Elland Road, albeit Sheffield Wednesday will pose new challenges.

Scott Wharton was described as a doubt but could be fit to play having come off with a back injury for the second game running. The defender hasn't missed a game under Eustace since returning from the side at Preston North End.

Hayden Carter and Dom Hyam will make up the back three with Kyle McFadzean in reserve. Callum Brittain and Harry Pickering will be the wing-backs.

Midfield

Sondre Tronstad and Joe Rankin-Costello will once again be the midfield pairing. The two have complemented each other fantastically well since the latter returned from injury.

Attack

Up front, it will be the usual front three of Sam Gallagher, Tyrhys Dolan and 30-goal marksman Sam Szmodics. Having those three on the pitch always gives Rovers a chance of winning the match.

Szmodics needs two goals to surpass the 31 that Shearer netted in 1996 and five more to beat his tally of 34 in 1995.

Predicted Blackburn Rovers team: Pears; Brittain, Carter, Hyam, Wharton, Pickering; Tronstad, Rankin-Costello; Dolan, Szmodics, Gallagher.
