MICHAEL Duff could be in line for a first team return on Saturday, after being withdrawn just after the hour mark in a home defeat to Pontin's League leaders Morecambe tonight.

Despite falling to a late Aaron Taylor goal, having played against 10 men for the final half-hour, defensive duo Duff and Clarke Carlisle came through unscathed to hand manager Owen Coyle a boost ahead of the trip to Southampton.

Burnley started brightly, with Rob Turner creating the two best chances.

The Shrimps found themselves a man down just before the hour, when Simon Grand was sent off for a reckless two-footed lunge on young Burnley right back Dean Stott.

But the Clarets struggled to utilise their one-man advantage, and only an excellent save from Kiraly prevented Lloyd from heading Morecambe in front.

But Taylor did find the net five minutes from time, when Taylor got on the end of a long punt downfield and clipped the ball over the advancing Kiraly.
