Mark Hughes has refused to be drawn on Tugay's future at Blackburn Rovers, insisting he will delay making a decision on whether to offer him a new contract until nearer the end of the season.
The veteran Turk, who will be 38 this summer, currently has a contract until the end of the season.
Hughes said: "Tugay's situation is as it was. We are having discussions with a number of players at the moment but we haven't spoken to anyone from Tugay's camp as yet.
"That is something we will probably look at nearer to the end of the season. Obviously, he's contracted to us until the end of the season and then we'll see where we are."
