BURNLEY welcome Everton to Turf Moor in a vital fixture in the Premier League relegation battle (KO 7:30pm).
Sean Dyche’s men enter the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat against leaders Manchester City over the weekend.
Team news
Burnley captain Ben Mee remains sidelined as he continues his recovery from a knee injury but Nathan Collins is back from suspension.
Matej Vydra could return to the squad after managing 60 minutes for the Under-23s over the weekend.
However, Erik Pieters (knee) and Johann Berg Gudmundsson (calf) are still out of action.
As for the visitors, Allan and Michael Keane are suspended while Donny van de Beek misses out with a thigh problem.
Opposition lowdown
Everton are currently 17th in the Premier League table – four points above the Clarets, who have a slightly better goal difference.
Frank Lampard’s men have lost four of their last five matches in all competitions following Sunday’s 2-1 defeat at West Ham.
Burnley have faced the Toffees 119 times in their history, with a record of 37 wins, 30 draws and 52 defeats.
The points were shared when the sides last met at Turf Moor, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin cancelling out Robbie Brady’s early opener.
Last meeting
The Clarets suffered a 3-1 defeat when the sides met at Goodison Park earlier this season.
Dyche’s men took the lead early in the second half when Ben Mee beat Jordan Pickford with a clinical header.
But the hosts hit back through former Claret Keane and a stunning strike from Andros Townsend from 25 yards.
Demarai Gray wrapped up the result moments later, keeping his cool to tuck past Nick Pope after a quick counter attack.
