I'VE been nothing short of impressed with the way Owen Coyle has thrown himself into the task of managing Burnley Football Club, and the impact he's had on players as individuals, as well as a team, in such a short space of time.

I listened to the radio commentaries for the games at both Watford and Charlton and couldn't believe my ears.

But those wins merely highlighted how everyone is benefiting from this fearless approach to games, no matter who the opposition is.

The improvement in players like Graham Alexander and Clarke Carlisle under the new manager is great to see, while Joey Gudjonsson and David Unsworth have had the added boost of scoring their first Burnley goals, and it's good that we are getting goals from other areas.

The only thing that still concerns me is the home form. I don't think the lack of Turf Moor wins is something that will get into the players' heads, I think it's just coincidence at this stage, because they certainly played well enough and created enough chances to have the Leicester game sewn up by half-time.

But obviously a home win is needed sooner rather than later, and with the next opportunity coming against Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday, there is no better time.

For starters, it's our game in hand, and it's imperative that we can capitalise on it and keep ourselves right up there. Also, it would be a fantastic way to go into the Preston derby next weekend.

I don't know how we only managed to score once on Tuesday night.

The chances that we missed were ridiculous. The players must have been left shaking their heads after the game and wondering what they had to do to score.

The turnaround in just a few weeks has been incredible. It's the same bunch of players that Steve Cotterill had, but now all of a sudden they are playing to their capabilities. Whatever Owen Coyle has instilled into them is working and the freedom he has given them.

We are in a position now to be going forward, but if we're going to do anything at all we're going to have win our home games.

Winning at home and getting what you can away is promotion form. Right now we've got it the opposite way around.

Tomorrow's game at Wolves is going to be another big test, but we didn't think we would get anything at Watford and Charlton so there's no reason why we can't come back from Molineux with three points.

We're a team in form at the moment, and no-one is going to relish playing against us home or away.
