The manner in which Rovers fought their way back from a two-goal deficit at half time did not please Reading boss Paul Clement.

Referee Oliver Langford awarded Rovers two penalties in the second half.

Both were coolly converted by captain Charlie Mulgrew as the game ended 2-2.

In his post-match press conference, Clement expressed his disappointment about the second penalty, awarded for a foul by Paul McShane on Mulgrew.

“The first one is clear. The second one I wasn’t clear about what it was given for. I looked back at the video and my opinion is not a penalty,” he said.

“That’s disappointing. McShane said there was no contact. I’ve looked on the video over and over again, McShane’s legs are there and then the player just falls over.

Clement was reluctantly happy to take a point, but thought his side deserved more.

“The game could’ve gone either way in the end,” the Royals boss added.
