Danny Graham reflected on his two second-half misses, admitting: “I’ve got to score”.

The Rovers striker was twice denied by Millwall goalkeeper Jordan Archer when going through one-on-one.

They were Rovers’ best two openings in the game which would end all square and make it back-to-back draws for Tony Mowbray’s men on their Championship return.

Speaking after the game, a downbeat Graham said: “I’m a bit disappointed to be honest. I’m disappointed with the way we started the game and the first half as a whole.

“The gaffer gave us some words at half time and we were much better in the second half. I’ve got to score those two chances I had in the second half to be honest.

“We were much better in the second half. We penned them in, kept them in there and won the ball back quickly. Like I say, we’re disappointed not to win the game and we now look ahead to the Cup game against Carlisle now.”

Rovers had to wait until matchday eight in 2016/17 for their first victory in the Championship.

In that season they were heavily beaten by Norwich and Wigan from which they never recovered.

And Graham added: “It’s a different mood (to then).

“Looking back I’m disappointed we haven’t got four or six points on the board from these first two games but we’ve had a good start and are finding our feet in the Championship again.

“We’re creating chances against good teams - Millwall I think finished ninth last season so we’ll take the positives and move forward.”
