Rovers reporter Rich Sharpe hands out his player ratings after the 0-0 home draw with Millwall

David Raya 6

Would have conceded twice were it not for either upright, but left the field with a clean sheet and without having made a save.

Ryan Nyambe 6

Made some good runs down the right hand side to support the attack but could have offered more in the final third.

Darragh Lenihan 7

Improved after a shaky start to put in a determined performance, with several key defensive headers. Hit the bar with a looping header.

Charlie Mulgrew 7

Under pressure defensively in the opening half an hour. Curled two free-kicks on to the roof of the net

Amari’i Bell 7

Came in for his first start and was given a tough time by Jed Wallace early on. Pushed forward from full-back but could have taken more risks in the final third.

Richie Smallwood 6

Moments of sloppiness in possession but never one far away from the thick of the action. Sacrificed in the second half.

Corry Evans 7

A few misplaced passes in the first half but helped Rovers recycle possession to good effect thereafter. Looked to get involved in the forward play as the game went on.

Elliott Bennett 7 (MAN OF THE MATCH)

Full of running as ever, plenty of it in an unselfish fashion, as he tried to get Rovers going on the front foot. Flashed one shot wide of the post but always providing an option for his side. Fortunately his injury is just in need of stitches than anything more serious.

Bradley Dack 7

Worked and probed and was part of some neat one-touch Rovers second half passing. Saw a first half low free-kick well saved by Jordan Archer.

Kasey Palmer 7

Took risks in the final third, same came off, others didn’t, but always looked to make something happen. Came infield to get involved in the play and linked up well with Dack.

Danny Graham 6

Raced clear for two second half chances but twice denied by Archer with finishes which lacked any real conviction.

Subs

Joe Rothwell (for Kasey Palmer, 64) 7

Some strong driving runs through the middle of the pitch and a fine long-range effort drew an excellent save from Archer.

Adam Armstrong (for Richie Smallwood, 67) 6

Warm reception after his return to Ewood Park but didn't much chance to shine in the final stages.

Lewis Travis (for Elliott Bennett, 81) 6

A late replacement after Bennett's shin injury.
